  • 2. How do I book a tour?

    Booking is easy! Browse our available experiences, select your preferred tour and date, and reserve securely through our online booking system.

    Most tours require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice, while select luxury experiences may require additional advance booking to secure exclusive tastings or private experiences.

    Our tours cater to both enthusiasts and newcomers alike. Whether you're a seasoned connoisseur or someone looking to explore the world of wine and beer, our tours are designed to be enjoyable and informative for all. 19+ Is the age restriction in BC.

    Most tours include:

    • Luxury transportation

    • Reserved wine, brewery, or cider tasting experiences

  • 5. Are tastings included?

    Yes, tastings are included in most of our tour packages. You'll have the opportunity to sample a variety of wines or beers, guided by experts who will enhance your understanding and appreciation of each beverage.

    Yes. Wine, brewery, and cider tasting fees are included unless otherwise stated within the individual tour description.

    Some premium experiences may also include guided estate tours, seated tastings, curated pairings, or exclusive behind-the-scenes experiences.

    We offer pre-made tours and packages, with many different choices to suit your needs.

    Private tours offer flexibility in choosing wineries, breweries, golf courses, and departure times whenever possible.

    If you’re celebrating a special occasion or have a specific itinerary in mind, we’d be happy to find an experience just for you.

  • 7. Is transportation provided?

    Yes, transportation is included in our tour packages. We ensure comfortable and safe travel to and from the locations we visit.Yes. Transportation is included with every Grapes and Hops Tour.

    Relax in one of our comfortable, professionally maintained vehicles while we take care of the driving, reservations, and scheduling so you can simply enjoy the experience.

  • 8. What should I bring on the tour?

    Please Bring:

    • Two pieces of identification, including one valid government-issued photo ID. Your second piece of ID may be a credit card, debit card, or other identification displaying your name, as required by many wineries, breweries, and cideries throughout British Columbia.

    • Comfortable walking shoes

    • Weather-appropriate clothing

    • Sunglasses and sunscreen during warmer months

    • Your phone or camera for photo

    Guests participating in wine, brewery, or cider tours must be 19 years of age or older and may be asked to present identification before tastings.

  • 9. Are meals provided during the tour?

    Some of our tour packages include meals, while others may have snacks or light refreshments. Details about meals are specified in the tour descriptions or customized upon request. Th boat tours have meal options provided as well.

  • 10. What is your cancellation policy?

    Cancellations made more than 48 hours before your scheduled departure receive a full refund.

    Cancellations made within 48 hours of departure are non-refundable.

    Should Grapes and Hops Tours cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, you’ll have the option to reschedule or receive a full refund.

  • 11. How do I make payments for the tours?

    We accept Visa, MC, AMEX, and E-transfer, full payment due on booking. Payments can be made securely through our website using major credit cards. For specific inquiries or alternative payment options, feel free to reach out to our customer service team.

    We offer group discounts for larger bookings. Contact us directly to discuss group rates and special arrangements.

  • Are your tours suitable for beginners?

    Absolutely!

    Whether you’re discovering Okanagan wines for the first time or you’re an experienced enthusiast, our tours are designed to be welcoming, relaxed, educational, and enjoyable for every guest.

  • How many guests can you accommodate?

    We currently offer:

    • Luxury Private Tours: 2–6 guests

    • Shared Wine & Brewery Tours: Up to 14 guests

  • 13. Can you accommodate dietary restrictions or accessibility needs?

    Yes.

    If you have dietary restrictions, food allergies, mobility considerations, or other accessibility needs, please let us know when booking. We’ll do our best to accommodate your requests whenever possible in partnership with our wineries, breweries, restaurants, and experience providers.

  • 15. Is there a minimum age requirement for the tours?

    Yes, participants must be of legal drinking age to join our tours involving alcohol tastings. Please refer to the specific tour details for age restrictions. 19+ Only

  • 16. How Long are your wine/beer tours?

    Half day wine tours run from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM and 2:30 PM – 6:30 PM (4 hours). Our sunset wine/beer tours run from 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM (5 hours)

    Please note, guests with pick up locations outside of our normal pickup range or for those guests departing out of Kelowna on our southern tours including the Naramata Bench, Oliver and Osoyoos will have customized itineraries. Please expect pick up to be earlier than indicated above. Our reservations team will reach out to confirm your customized pick up time.

  • 17. What Can I Expect on a Wine / Beer Tour?

Your wine tour guide will conveniently pick you up from your accommodation in a brand-new, air-conditioned touring vehicle, ready to lead you through the most breathtaking wineries in the Okanagan Valley.

    Our full-day wine tours encompass visits to 5 handpicked wineries, complete with tastings, and a delightful lunch reservation at a winery bistro in the middle of your day. If time is of the essence, our half-day tours, departing both in the morning and afternoon, cover tastings and visits to 4 esteemed wineries.

    Each winery experience is carefully tailored by our reservations team, ensuring dedicated appointments and VIP access for our guests—no waiting in lines!

    Your tour package includes comprehensive concierge service by your guide, from capturing countless photos to managing all your wine purchases. Whether it's arranging reservations at local restaurants or entertainment venues or facilitating the shipping of your selected wines, we've got it covered. Moreover, our guides boast extensive knowledge of Kelowna and the Okanagan, offering insights into fascinating areas and recommendations to enhance your overall stay.

  • 18. Can I bring my child / children?

    Our public wine tours cater to adults aged 19 and above, ensuring an environment tailored to an adult experience. However, we do consider accommodating children on private tours, available from Sunday to Wednesday. To arrange a private tour for families, please contact our office.

    If parents seek childcare options, The Rotary Centre For The Arts hosts engaging children’s camps during the summer for kids aged 5 to 10. You can reach out to them directly for further details and registration.

  • 19. What if it is raining?

    Absolutely! Our Kelowna wine tours go ahead regardless of the weather. During the summer, wine tastings typically take place outdoors, while in the shoulder season, they're held indoors. If it rains or the weather turns unfavourable in summer, the wineries will shift your tasting indoors or under covered patios. Rainy days make for a fantastic touring experience.

  • 20. Can tour times be adjusted?

    Unfortunately, our public tour schedules are designed around the availability of wineries, breweries, and restaurants to ensure the most fulfilling experience during your wine tour. However, for private tours, there might be flexibility in arranging custom start or end times based on availability. To explore a private tour at a specific time, feel free to reach out to our reservations team directly for further assistance.

  • 21. What is the largest group size you can accommodate?

    Absolutely! We cater to large groups and provide bus transportation for larger gatherings. You can easily reserve tours online year-round, and our live availability is constantly updated. Our offerings include not just Kelowna wine tours but also experiences in Penticton, Oliver, Osoyoos, and the Naramata Bench, perfect for groups ranging from 2 to 14 guests. Our extensive fleet of 12 wine tour vans allows us to accommodate group sizes of up to 140 people.

    During the winter season, Grapes and Hops Tours offers ski shuttle service to select Okanagan ski resorts, providing comfortable, hassle-free transportation so you can relax and enjoy your day on the mountain.

    Our 14-passenger touring van offers ample room for passengers and winter equipment. Guests are welcome to bring skis or snowboards, boots, helmets, and personal gear.

    For larger groups or additional equipment, a cargo trailer is available when required. If you’re travelling with oversized gear, simply let us know when booking so we can ensure everything is ready for your trip. Yes!

  • What Is Capacity for Ski Shuttle?

    1 set of skis, snowshoes, or snowboard, pair of ski boots, and one carry-on bag Per Person. Maximum luggage allowance is 2 pieces per person (some restrictions apply). Additional luggage is $10 per piece. 2 Trips Maybe Needed.
